I’m here, physically.
I’m neon coloured around everyone.
I don’t even have hands,
That’s not going to work for evolution.
I don’t think we speak the same language.
I’m a puzzle piece on a chessboard,
And everybody already made for life.
The underside of my ribs hurt,
Have you forgotten me?
You can just pencil me in…
The noise is just for comfort.
Empty Spaces is a montage experiment with text and music, exploring different nuances of loneliness. We live in a world that values, celebrates and rewards the social being and constantly pushes for people to engage and connect, leaving loneliness behind as a sign of weakness. Is it a sad thing to be lonely? Is a dinner reservation for one pitiful? In an authentic space, we reflect, observe and explore what loneliness can be, and invite you to continue the conversation.
